The rebirth according to the Christian faith

According to the Christian faith, we repeatedly find reincarnation in various religious texts. However, the various churches of the Christian faith do not want to know anything about it.

This is politically correct, because where would we end up if there was no longer the price of heaven?

Gospel of John (Luther Bible) New Testament

  • Joh 3:1 Now there was a certain man among the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.
  • Joh 3:2 He came to Jesus by night and said to him, "Teacher, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do the signs that you do unless God is with him.
  • Joh 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
  • Joh 3:4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he go again into his mother's womb and be born?
  • Joh 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
  • Joh 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
  • Joh 3:7 Let it not surprise you that I said to you: You must be born again.
  • Joh 3:8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but you do not know where it comes from or where it is going. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.
  • Joh 3:9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?
  • Joh 3:10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Are you a master in Israel, and knowest not these things?

  • Remarks by the author

Jesus clearly says that if someone has been born again, then he cannot see paradise. As if earthly existence were something like purgatory.

    Peter 1:3 (Luther Bible) NT

In 1 Peter 1:3 we find the rebirth again. Here, too, it seems as if we are in purgatory and will only go to heaven if we follow Jesus.

  • 1Pe 1:3 Praise be to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
  • 1Pe 1:4 to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and unfading, and kept in heaven
  • 1Pe 1:5 you who are kept by the power of God through faith for the salvation prepared to be revealed in the last time.

  • Gospel of Matthew (Luther Bible) NT

In the Gospel of Matthew we find the rebirth again. But there it seems to be more connected with the Last Day.

  • Mat 19:28 And Jesus said to them: Truly I say to you: You who have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of Man sits on the throne of his glory, you also will sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
