The Fallen Angels

All from the point of view of Ancient Astronauts and Paleo Seti

Source and introduction

In the Book of Enoch, the Fallen Angels are explained very well and in detail. The Book of Enoch is in fact the original source of this story. In the New and Old Testaments, the Fallen Angels are only vaguely mentioned. Thus the Bible can be ignored. On this web page I deal exclusively with the Book of Enoch.

The Book of Enoch

In the following chapter 6 it is evident that the Fallen Angels had to be mammals with the same DNA as humans. Otherwise they would not have desired the daughters of humans and could not have produced children.

erzengel michael, archangel michael, arcangelo michele
The complainant Archangel Michael. It was not very nice how he spilled the beans to the Lord and thus betrayed his colleagues.

Chapter 6, phrases 1-6, Book of Enoch

  • 1 And it came to pass when the children of men had multiplied that in those days were born unto them beautiful and comely daughters.
  • 2 And the angels, the children of the heaven, saw and lusted after them, and said to one another: 'Come, let us choose us wives from among the children of men and beget us children.'
  • 3 And Semjaza, who was their leader, said unto them: 'I fear ye will not indeed agree to do this deed, and I alone shall have to pay the penalty of a great sin.'
  • 4 And they all answered him and said: 'Let us all swear an oath, and all bind ourselves by mutual imprecations not to abandon this plan but to do this thing.'
  • 5 Then sware they all together and bound themselves by mutual imprecations upon it.
  • 6 And they were in all two hundred; who descended in the days of Jared on the summit of Mount Hermon, and they called it Mount Hermon, because they had sworn and bound themselves by mutual imprecations upon it.
  • Chapter 6, phrases 7-8, Book of Enoch

  • 7 And these are the names of their leaders:
  • Samlazaz, their leader,
  • Araklba,
  • Rameel,
  • Kokablel,
  • Tamlel,
  • Ramlel,
  • Danel,
  • Ezeqeel,
  • Baraqijal,
  • Asael,
  • Armaros,
  • Batarel,
  • Ananel,
  • Zaqiel,
  • Samsapeel,
  • Satarel,
  • Turel,
  • Jomjael,
  • Sariel.
  • 8 These are their chiefs of tens.

  • Chapter 7, Book of Enoch

  • 1 And all the others together with them took unto themselves wives, and each chose for himself one, and they began to go in unto them and to defile themselves with them.
  • 2 And they taught them charms and enchantments, and the cutting of roots, and made them acquainted with plants.
  • 3 And they became pregnant, and they bare great giants, whose height was three thousand ells: Who consumed 4 all the acquisitions of men.
  • 4 And when men could no longer sustain them, the giants turned against them and devoured mankind.
  • 5 And they began to sin against birds, and beasts, and reptiles, and fish, and to devour one another's flesh, and drink the blood.
  • 6 Then the earth laid accusation against the lawless ones.
  • In chapter 7 above, it is said that the daughters of the earth gave birth to giants 3000 cubits (arms) long. This is unlikely, and perhaps a general translation error that has been repeated several times.

An arm or cubit is the distance between the elbow and the tip of the middle finger of a grown man. So about half a metre. Perhaps the original Book of Enoch says something different, which was then copied and mistranslated by hand.

    I could well imagine 10 to 14 feet (300 - 400 cm).

In Chapter 7, phrase 5, it appears that the angels were supposed to be vegetarians. There is no other explanation.

Chapter 8, phrases 1-3, Book of Enoch

In the following chapter 8, sentences 1-3, the misdeeds of the fallen angels are then enumerated. Here again, the translators of the Book of Enoch do not seem to be in harmony with each other.

  • 1 And Azazel taught men to make swords, and knives, and shields, and breastplates, and made known to them the metals of the earth and the art of working them, and bracelets, and ornaments, and the use of antimony, and the beautifying of the eyelids, and all kinds of costly stones, and all colouring tinctures.
  • 2 And there arose much godlessness, and they committed fornication, and they were led astray, and became corrupt in all their ways.
  • 3 Semjaza taught enchantments, and root-cuttings,
  • Armaros the resolving of enchantments,
  • Baraqijal taught astrology,
  • Kokabel the constellations,
  • Ezeqeel the knowledge of the clouds,
  • Araqiel the signs of the earth,
  • Shamsiel the signs of the sun, and
  • Sariel the course of the moon.

  • The snitching

In the following chapter 9, phrase 4, it appears that after their action Semeyasa and his battalion were betrayed by the other archangels. Particularly Michael. It was not good when Michael, Uriel, Raphael and Gabriel became delators. The Lord seems to have already known. Perhaps the Lord - as supreme commander - would have let some things pass, but now, whether he wanted to or not, he had to set an example. Otherwise discontent could have arisen among his generals.

    Chapter 9, phrases 1-8

  • 1 And then Michael, Uriel, Raphael, and Gabriel looked down from heaven and saw much blood being shed upon the earth, and all lawlessness being wrought upon the earth.
  • ...
  • 4 And they said to the Lord of the ages: 'Lord of lords, God of gods, King of kings, and God of the ages, the throne of Thy glory (standeth) unto all the generations of the ages, and Thy name holy and glorious and blessed unto all the ages!
  • ...
  • 6 Thou seest what Azazel hath done, who hath taught all unrighteousness on earth and revealed the eternal secrets which were (preserved) in heaven, which men were striving to learn:

  • The ethnic cleansing

Chapter 10, phrases 1-3, Book of Enoch

1 Then said the Most High, the Holy and Great One spake, and sent Uriel to the son of Lamech, and said to him: 'Go to Noah and tell him in my name "Hide thyself!" 2 And reveal to him the end that is approaching: that the whole earth will be destroyed, and a deluge is about to come upon the whole earth, and will destroy all that is on it. 3 And now instruct him that he may escape 4 and his seed may be preserved for all the generations of the world.'

    Chapter 16, Book of Enoch

In chapter 16, sentence 3, it is revealed that the Fallen Angels did not know all the secrets of primordial times. This means that immense knowledge and wisdom still existed.

  • 3 "You have been in heaven, but all the mysteries had not yet been revealed to you, and you knew worthless ones, and these in the hardness of your hearts you have made known to the women, and through these mysteries women and men work much evil on earth."
  • Conclusion

The Fallen Angels are primarily concerned with the wisdom that was given illegally to people on earth. Knowledge that these people were not supposed to have.

We must not forget Adam and Eve in Genesis. They took something from the tree of knowledge that gave them wisdom. Here again, the Lord (the Supreme Commander) was enraged.

Only secondarily do I suspect that it was a matter of not passing on the DNA of angels to humans. Perhaps racism was about to emerge even in heaven.
